Default transfering incomplete files

i just downloaded lime wire ver 4.9.28 today, after a long usage of kazaa lite resurrection.well my problem is that my incomplete files in kazaa (.dat) aren't working in limewire's incomplete folder.

it says "invalid incomplete file"
i noticed that the kazaa incomplete files were listed as (.dat)
whereas the limewire incomplete files were listed as (.wmv) or (mpeg)

can anyone please help me solve this situation??

I may be wrong but I'm pretty sure you will not be able to resume these from where you left off. Even changing from one version of LW to another sometimes causes this to happen. I believe that .dat is type of list file whereas (.wmv) or (mpeg) are ACTUAL file types. Hopefully someone will say I am wrong

well thanks for the reply, anyone else, hopefully there's a solution for this...otherwise i'll have to stick with kazaa lite.

can someone just tell me what's the best overall file sharing program out there....in terms of

-client network/s
-search power
-popularity...users data base
-download speed
etc etc

i got limewire cause i was constantly reading "billed as the fastest p2p file sharing program......."
