How do I get chat to work? I've read and followed the advice in the other thread on this message forum about chatting, but I never get a menu when I right click on an IP address on the Monitor screen. What am I doing wrong? I do have chat enabled in my options. I just never see the chat menu item. Help! Thanks, T |
OK, I tried what you suggested. Now, for search hits that are displayed, there is a "chat" at the bottom end of the right click popup menu ONLY on the searches page. Anyone I click on, on the monitor page, I get no right click menu at all. Any other suggestions? All I want to be able to do in the end is fire off a quick message to those users who repeatedly (ie, 100's of times over about 5 minutes) try to download "file not found" files from me. That's all. Nothing more. -T |
ok, after much playing around now, I have actually seen the right click menu pop up on the monitor page. To get it to show up, I must first highlight some entry in the list, and click the "kill upload" button on the bottom. (Yes, I wait until I have an ended connection to "kill", not an active one.) Then, after I have killed something, I can single left click on anyone in the list, followed by a single right click to get the "chat" option. However, all it seems to do is to pop up 2 seperate windows, both with my IP address in them, so it's not really working.... :( -T |
I've about given up on the chat ... maybe next version. -T |
