opening the program

I've downloaded the newest version and it won't open. I did the firewall stuff but nuthin.

When I click on the icon the initial small box displays but then it disappears and nothing happens. What's up?

Which version of Java do you have? Might I suggest you change your version of Java. If you have version 1.4.2 then install 1.5 or if you have 1.5, then uninstall it using your add/remove programs control panel, then install Java 1.4.2. But don't install it over the net, downld it to your computer 1st & then install it. See links for Java here: Fixes for Limewire If that doesn't work, try one of the other options in the link.
