Default Limewire in iTunes

In my iTunes it already has a file for limewire songs however, the list they are on wont let me burn them to a CD (no icon in the corner). I dont know how to move the songs to a seperate playlist so that i can burn them. Please help...

That is simply an imported playlist, ie: the song files don't exist within your iTunes Library folder which is where they need to be before you can work with them. The lW playlist can only be played ... not copied or other.
See How to transfer music to my iPod (& iTunes) You need to add them to your iTunes Music Library before you can burn them (more or less but is the major rule.)

That almost helps but when I look in the shared folder there are no song files, the ones with green music symbles like in the example, they arnt there. See the Limewire is on another computer networked with this one but the Limewire shows up. If that makes a differance.

ah ... yes the LW playlist is using its DAAP abilities over working over a network for playing purposes. But as I said, you can't copy or burn those files unless they exist on your comp & within the iTunes music folder.

Sure copy them over the network to your particular computer. But 1st you need to find which particular comp it is that has them. lol Should't be too hard if you search for them. Once you find one you're after you'll find the remainder of that user's library. Not hard to do over a uni network a few yrs ago so I'm sure you can work it out. Do a network search. Should'nt be any kracks needed ... but I wouldn't know about that anyway.

You can create a custom playlist, name it whatever you want it called, then drag & drop the songs from the main library over to the playlist. When you're ready to burn click the burn button on window's far right. BTW you should check your burn settings before you burn a cd. Go to iTunes menu bar, Edit menu>Preferences>Burning or if you have the new iTunes version 5 then you will need to select Advanced tab>Burning & select whether you want to burn an audio cd or an mp3 disk, etc.

For a 90's playlist, the song needs to have its year included in the id3 tag. You can add them manually if it doesn't have one. Simply select the song in the library, hold down control & i, then add the year under the info tab section. The 90's playlist is what's called a Smart Playlist & can be identified by its colour (purple instead of blue.) It means songs will automatically go to that playlist if they fit the criteria for that smartlist which in this example is being from the 1990's. You can set up your own smartplaylists using criteria such as artist, year, album, etc. Or just use a normal playlist.
