TCP IP not working after Limewire uninstall. HELP!!! Hi, I uninstalled Limewire from my kids computer after concerns about adult content appearing in searches and our being sued for their filesharing pranks. Now TCP IP on the machine appears to be bust and the machine has no internet access at all. Is it possible that some important shared component has been deleted by the uninstall? I can't be certain about exactly when the connectivity failure happened because they are away on holiday with their mother. The machine is running XP home edition. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

Hmmm doesn't sound like something LimeWire would affect. Sound more like the Trojan.Flush.E has infected your sysytem. Checkout this link. http://securityresponse.symantec.com.../vinfodb.html. I would suggest updating your anti-virus software. there are also several free programs or ones that offer trial periods. Use forum search and you will find links to them. |

Thanks Fabion. I do have a regularly updated virus checker (AVG from Grisoft) so I hadn't considered this except to run a full scan which showed nothing. I also have Zonealarm running. I'll look for the file changes related to Flush.E in the registry. I have a feeling that isn't the problem though. Regards EvilV |
