lost files after trying to share
 

I was trying to transfer my limewire music into my itunes library, and somehow in the proscess of trying so configure my sharing/savings settings on limewire I lost all of my files on limewire? they are no where to be found, did i lose them for good? I figured they couldnt just delete, but I cant find them anywhere?? please let me know if theres any way to retrieve them!!! thanks :)

I'm fed up ..... not with you but with Limewire for having this bloody stupid feature that deletes files from your computer with out so much as a by your leave! No one at Limewire seems to care about this and whilst I don't have it and am under the impression that it is some sort of bug that I don't have it, and .............

That's the end of my rant, I assume you have used your search feature to search for these files ... so your only hope is to use a file recovery programme which might work, although the more you have done on your computer since the loss the less likely you are to be able to retrieve them.

This thread will help, although there is some missconception about XP having specioal abilitys in this respect ... afaik, it does not.

Warning to everyone: If you select a shared folder in Limewire Library, you can chose to remove it from share, or Delete it DO NOT DELETE IT!!!!!!
