can i get a lite/diet version of limewire?
 

hi. im using an old computer with win98 second edition, and the current version of limewire is wreaking havoc on my computer. is there an older version of limewire that i can get from somewhere? thanks!!

What sort of havoc? could I guess at using up far to many resourses? perhaps you should let us know as it might not be a problem that an older version will solve.
On the other hand there are older versions available on Limewire itself if you are able to actually use your version atall 4.8.1 is an old favourite but more possibly for Mac users, but I also think you might find 4.9.29 will work for you.

If you are totally unable to get one off limewire, then a helpful Windows user might think of a solution.
