Spontaneous, unprovoked LimeWire crashing The subject says it all.
I open LimeWire. I am able to search for files, select them for download, queue them, all of the features. Then, if I leave the program to download for a while, either working in other windows or by leaving my computer, I return to find that after a short period LimeWire has completely and spontaneously shut down without warning.
There are no error boxes, and there is absolutely no sign that LimeWire had ever been running prior. Except there is still the LimeWire icon in the system tray. So I move my cursor there and suddenly that icon disappears altogether. I have to manually open LimeWire at this point and just pick up downloading where I left off with no other problems.
Obviously you can see where this causes issues. I don't intend to stay up all night opening and re-opening LimeWire while I try to download some 300 megabyte file over a several hour period.
Has anyone else experienced this? What could possibly be the problem? Thank you very much for your help. |
