![]() Only solution I can offer is one I use myself, namely don't use the piece of crap. Like you I downloaded the 5.2 MB Java Runtime Environment and the piece of ****e LimeWire still will not run. Why do the authors not make it an executable, they could still provide source. I have installed hundreds of programs and this is the only one that will not run at all from install. The fact that the LimeWire authors can not make it run on a fairly standard Windows 98 setup means the rest of the program is crap for sure. Steer clear of it mate, use the Xolox client for Gnutell or better yet switch to WinMX. LIMEWIRE IS ****. You won't get any useful help from this forum either. Its the only real LimeWire support and it is, like the program, a terrible crippled thing. |
