burning Hi Guys Ive downloaded a few movies, they will not burn or play on media . Reasons given are: Class not registered Does not support format I have downloaded Div X bundle, and still no action, can someone please guide me in the right direction. Thanks |
Class not registered is a CODEC issue. Perhaps the divx isn't loaded correctly or doesn't have the correct codec for that particular file. To play, might I recommend VLC (has in-built codecs). At least as a backup player. It's very good for previewing videos. Also get GSpot as this will tell you which codec is required for a particular video file. See links for these here CODECs list and alternate players for Movies As for burning, well it depends on your particular burner software & its version. For Nero, you should have version 6 or 7. For Roxio, the previous 2-3 versions should do fine. With nero 5 I think you need extra codec plug-ins. You may need to look at updates for your codecs & burner. I noticed someone just posted this tip for burning: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...threadid=47500 |
