LW won't share over iTunes
 

Whenever I check the two boxes under the iTunes menu in LW and hit 'Apply', the boxes uncheck themselves and won't share. It also changes my name back to "**'s Limewire Tunes". I've tried restarting LW but that doesn't help.

Yeah....it's still doing it.

Make a note about all your settings & then close down LW. Then try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Point #2 in Fixes for Limewire (sample at bottom of page.) It will mean you'll need to reset everything next time you open LW, but doing this often overcomes issues such as you have.

It's still acting up. It tells me that it can't start the Digital Audio Access Protocol (to share over iTunes).

http://daap.sourceforge.net/ was a site I came to after googling. I know nothing about this and cannot recall this exact problem. I do notice that this was something particularly associated with iTunes 4 and wonder if that is what you are using , or have you updated to iTunes 5 or 6 (which is the latest).
I do reacall a slightly similar problem with version 5.0, but after going to 5.0.1 the problem dissapeared. Just a thought.....
