Cannot Preview Video Files
 

Hi,

I just downloaded the newest version of Limewire and cannot Preview Files that are being downloaded. I click on the Preview File button on the dropdown menu and nothing comes up to preview the file, it's as if nothing happened (I use WMP). In the older verison that I had before the new verison I was able to view previews no problem. Help! (I run on Windows XP)

Try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Point #2 in Fixes for Limewire (sample at bottom of page.)

If that doesn't fix it then it might be a bug or mouse or ...

Might I suggest you get VLC - (click on link) _ (choose nearest mirror site) & play your videos directly with that (try setting up as default at least temporarily) to see if there's any difference. VLC has in-built codec support http://www.videolan.org/vlc/features.html & is very reliable for incomplete viewing/previewing/launching
