I think it's because it's the wrong format. Your CD player reads .wav files and you have .wu3 files. You have to convert them.

Same issue! Can't get CD to play--how??

Hi, I am having the same problem. I might be computer illiterate though! I downloaded the music and it goes into my My Music folder. I use Windows Media Player 10 to play and burn the music. Well, first of all, when I try to burn the music, my computer says that an error occurred with the music file and won't even begin to burn. So, then I used Roxio CD creator and while it claimed it burned the files to a CD, in my car, it won't play. What gives? I don't know how to convert these files to anything so I guess I might need help with that??? Could that be the problem?

Also, probably completely unrelated but I can't get the "preview" button to work in LimeWire. I click on it while the song is downloading and absolutely nothing happens. Also, the songs won't play in LimeWire at all. I have to hunt them down in My Music and play them from there. What's up with that???? Help! I would SO appreciate it!!

sigh...you have to burn an audio CD..

and some files are 'protected' and won't burn to CD

If you can burn a CD and it plays on your computer but not your car CD player, chances are pretty good you simply burned either mp3 or mu3 files to the CD. If you did, your car's CD player or any other CD player that only reads wav files, won't be able to play them. You can however, search google for a mp3 to wav convertor. That might just help.
