Angry Why Cant I Play Wma Files That I Have Downloaded

CAN ANYONE HELP? WHEN I HAVE DOWNLOADED A WINDOWS MEDIA FILE, IE A FILM, WHEN I CLICK ON PREVIEW, IT REDIRECTS ME TO THE WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER 10 SCREEN, BUT THE BOX COMES UP SAYING IT CANNOT PLAY THE FILE, THE PLAYER MIGHT NOT SUPPORT THE FILE TYPE, OR MIGHT NOT SUPPORT THE CODEC THAT WAS USED TO COMPRESS THE FILE.
