Cannot Contact LimeWire
 

Hi.I'm trying to contact LimeWire, but they are saying that the email I gave them is not a valid LimeWire Pro email even though when I purchased the gold package, the email they sent to me as part of Step 2 of 2: Complete Purchase has the exact email that I gave them. Anyone know how to fix this without having to actually call them? Thanks.

Also see Shows About LW Pro to see whether you really have pro or not. If it doesn't say pro then you don't have pro. It seems you purchased thru a scam site who then directed you to the LW downld page or they may have a copy themselves which may even have added spyware, etc.

Yep.Totally got scammed, but thank god it was for only $20.00 and bank is acting fast to change account #'s. Thanks for the help.

np glad you got onto it asap & your bank is doing their job. Also complain the to the bank it was a scam & they should refund you. Get the real LW so there's no chance of any changed code or spyware/virii etc. http://www.limewire.com/english/content/download.shtml Use the LW Basic until you're familiar & happy with it. If you want to support the LW programmers development then later look at getting pro.

It would also be helpful to others if you can identify who the scam site is & report them. If they're not on the list then I can add them. See my link for Scam sites above. Here Known Scam Sites & at the top in purple text you'll see a link to the FBI to report them.
