Windows XP x64 Anyone have a work around or a way that lime wire will work with XP x64  |
The Link below may help you will need to run the SDK version of java. LimeWire should work with the standard version of java it does on my Windows XP 64-bit running AMD 64 CPU. http://onesearch.sun.com/search/ones...-bit&x=10&y=11 |
Thanks for the reply Having a hard time understanding the lingo. It says to click the link to download but the link isn't highlighted and won't let me click. I noticed that you are using AMD cpu. I have intell, maybe that is the issue? Maybe I don't have to download anything just change some settings? I'm also having issues with spell check on Outlook Express, I'm thinking this may be related? Microsoft knoldgebase is no help. I know my way around a computer pretty good but sometimes I get lost when using some programming lingo. |

Thanks Thanks for the info. Got it downloaded but kinda scared to install. Don't want to mess things up. Can anything go wrong? Would also like to here from "Grandpa" about any advice either one of you could give me about installing & running this "bundle". As for the 64 bit OS. It came on the system that I bought from a reputable company (Dell) and at a very good price! I figured that eventually everything will go to 64 bit and I don't buy upgrades very often. My old system was running Win 98 & I bought it in 1999. :p |
It should be ok I downloaded java for amd64 when windows XP 64bit beta first came out and I had no problem. |
I downloaded & installed, I tried uninstalling & reinstalling lime wire. It gits to the page where it asks what language & the box is blank (gray colored) Any suggestions? |
