Unhappy Limewire launches automatically

I just downloaded limewire basic for XP and it won't stop launching. It will stay shutdown for a few minutes, and then automatically launches again. I'd love to leave it running all the time for the sake of sharing, but sometimes I need the headroom for other apps. Help!
