mp3 player not recieving songs!

ok, i installed limewire and like got the songs i want and when i plugged in the mp3 player, it wont take the songs! Its driving me crazy! Itunes would accept the songs, but it won't place them in the library or into my ipod. THe songs are in a playlist saying that they are songs from limewire.com!
Please help me figure this out in detailed description of how to carry out each step so I can enjoy music and finally put my mp3 player into use!

The limewire playlist is simply a playlist from LW but the songs don't exist in the iTunes own Library folders. That's where you need to get them before you can add them to the iPod. So see how to properly add them here How to transfer music to my iPod (& iTunes) & see the entire page 1. You can also add songs manually from iTunes if you see the iPod tutorial.

What kind of mp3 player do you have? Some mp3 players have a Drag and Drop feature that allows you to drag a song from your My Music and put it in the mp3 player. If yours has that feature then you can do it through Windows Explorer.:)

You can't use wmp with an iPod. But you can use drag & drop from iTunes to iPod icon within iTunes if using the Manual technique as suggested. That's the technique I'd also recommend. That way you know for sure what's on the iPod. If you use the auto-update function, then any songs that aren't on the iTunes playlist you add will be omitted/deleted.

I obviously don't know anything about iPods! The mp3 player that I have is by Creative. All I have to do is put it into a USB outlet, open up Windows Explorer and go into My Music and just click and drag the songs that I want over to my mp3 player.:)
