Downloading Limewire Pro ?

I understand you have to pay the extra to upgrade from Limewire to Limewire Pro, but what is stopping people from just downloading it from Limewire the same way they download music or videos, etc ?

Would it not work or what ?

I'm sure people have tried it before now to save themselves the money of buying Limewire Pro.
