Lord of the Rings has a distinguished reputation

1. Go to Add/Remove Programs control panel & uninstall all Java versions. Then reinstall using the "Offline" Java installer here Java 1.5 (take the JRE)

2. Try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Point #2 & 3 in Fixes for Limewire (sample image included.)

3. Reinstall LW using the "Offline" installer version from here: http://www.limewire.com/english/content/download.shtml The installer will remove any previous copies or versions of LW at the beginning of the installation process.
