jekz409 is flying high
Default Uses up all of cpu

okay so this is very unusual, especially out of a small app like this okay so heres my hardware config

AMD FX-55 @ 3.2ghz
Crucial Ballistix ddr500
Some Abit NF4 mb
1.2TB total Raid'ed HDs
x-Con 500wt PSU
Two 7800gtx 512mb (SLi)

okay so when i go to start it up i got the loading screen not doing much of anything and my cpu usage jumps to 100% for about 5 minutes until the green progress bar begins to move. This is very unusual, reason being that even benchmarking programs dont take out as much cpu usage as this... im stumped.

Hi jekz409,
I wouldn't have a clue but there are a few threads floating around about high CPU useage
http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...e+uses+all+CPU

If none of these are any help, try doing a search (top right, between faq and home), you'll probably find more info & maybe an answer

Usually when LimeWire eats up large amounts of CPU it is either a Java problem or a Graphics problem the 3rd link birdy gave you should take care of any java problem but make sure you uninstal all previous versions of java when you upgrade java it does not un install previous versions you can go to add and remove programs to do that.

The link below will take you to the known graphics problem there are a couple of other users having the same problem as you with the 7800.
