LimeWire keeps opening too big.

This is a problem i've never come across before. Whenever I open LimeWire the screen goes black, and then the loading box appears half the size of the screen with a black background. When LimeWire loads it is still massive and I cannot get out of it, I have tryed everything. I completely deleted LimeWire several times but I still have the same problem. This only happens to LimeWire, nothing else.

Also, the same happens with FrostWire, so maybe there is something wrong with Java?

UPDATE: Nope, its not the Java, I have installed the latest version of it and the problem persists.

It may be related to your graphic card. Either the driver version or settings. See these: 1. The way to fix the Blank screen on startup, & also this one 2. GeoForce 3D setting

Also try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Point #2 & 3 in Fixes for Limewire (sample image included.) Though i think more likely the issue is your graphic card settings.

Same problem here... Ill try Lord of the Rings fix. I hope it works for me. using GeForce GO 7400. Where can i get java 1.4.2 though... I can only find Java Runtime Environment Version 5.0 Update 6 on the java site.

http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/download.html (Choose the JRE) but only use Java 1.4.2 as a last resort. LW is designed using Java 1.5

You can also give Java 6 a try It is a beta but it appears to have taken care of some of the graphics issues I had before. I doesn't matter what my settings on my graphics are now with 6. When I was using 5 I had to run in application controlled.
