Unhappy Limewire installation fails
My system is Windows 2000 Pro. Installation of Limewire fails on my PC. A message "Unable to create installDriver instance" pops up over installation process.
Please give me advise!

I have the same problem. Once the d/l is complete and the install starts, I get an error "1608 unable to create InstallDriver Instance", the program then aborts.

Any thoughts?

Question
I've tried to install Limewire since it was version 1.7 and have always received an InstallShield 1608 Errors: Unable to create InstallDriver instance. Can I developer help us out here, please?

I've got through the recommeded steps from these other posts. Download the older version, etc. None of it works.

limewire will only downlaod 12% can u help i have xp

Sorry - do you mean that the installer won't download, or that once LW's installed it won't load past 12% (loading HTML engine)?

If the installer won't download, use this link to download: http://www9.limewire.com/download/LimeWireWin-full.exe
Or try using a different browser.

If LW's stuck at loading HTML engine, check out this thread for tips: stuck @ 12 %(loading HTML engine...)
