Options won't stick

I must admit, I like 1.6 better - even with the constant freezes and sloooow start-up. Not too thrilled about the spyware - that's why I left Bearshare in the woods.

Anyway, each time I set Options, choose Apply and then close out, when I come back in, none of my settings are there.

Also, I'd rather not have my download directory be a shared directory - since I sort out my shared files into sensible directories and would rather fix and delete files before I share them. But that annoying message comes up at every step in Options - asking me if I want to make my Download directory (I changed it from the default) a shared directory. No matter how many times I click no, the message box comes up any time I click Apply or OK.

Any help would be appreciated!

Know what you mean - I can't get it to accept the directories that I'm choosing to share. I do the same thing - sort things into another directory but it won't let me "accept" that directory. Wish someone would help us with this.
