Help: How to rid of LimeWire iTunes in the iTunes playlist? i downloaded limewire last night and i have iTunes previously installed on my computer. when i opened iTunes this morning, there was a new playlist on the sidebar "[my name]'s LimeWire iTunes" I right clicked it to delete it but all it said was open or disconnect. I CANNOT DELETE IT!!!!!! how in the world can i get this thing off my iTunes setup??????? I cannot use it, drag it to the library, edit the track names, nothing whatsoever. it is totally useless to me and I DO NOT WANT IT ON MY ITUNES. HOW CAN I DELETE THIS????? HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!!! thanks. |
This is not a real playlist it is just a list of what you are sharing in LW and if you go to Limewire>tools>options>iTunes, I think it will say sharing, and there is a box ticked saying "share my music". Untick it click apply and OK and I think the list will go a way from iTunes. I use Mac and I never unchecked this but I think this will work. :) |

Ok so i had this same problem and read what you said and i did it but all of the music that i've downloaded was in that playlist and wen i deleted it it took my music too and i dunno how to put my music in limewire to my music in library...it wont drag??? |
If files won't drag from LW's library, try dragging from your saved/shared folder. Go to LW's library, click on Saved Files. Now highlight a file & your saved folder will open outside of LW...drag into iTunes from there. There are more ways to add to the iTunes library in the thread below:) Transferring music to iPod & iTunes |
hey. I have the same problem as Kaia, but in my limewire there is no "options" choice in the tools dropdown menu. I have a macbook pro. I don't know if that is what is causing the problem. Does anyone know what to do? |
Have you tried using command (apple key) & comma, (⌘-,) to get to LW's preferences? http://www.gnutellaforums.com/160912-post3.html Which version of LW are you using? Another way to stop seeing the shared LW tunes playlist is to open iTunes > Edit > Preferences > Sharing > untick 'look for shared libraries' > ok. This works for Windows so I guess it would work for Mac also :) |
Thanks!! I just didn't see the iTunes thing before. Thanks for the help! |
