MAJOR problem with limewire

I downloaded Limewire a few monthes ago and downloaded a few things. Everything went good.

But then I downloaded this one thing, and now I can't access the folder where I saved my stuff!

If I try to access it in any way, any way at all, I get an error message saying "Windows Explorer has encountered a problem and need to close." Forcing me to close!

I can't use Limewire anymore either! I even uninstalled it and re-installed it! When it's starting up and it says "Loading user interface..." It just closes without warning!

No viruses or spyware are on my computer either. I scanned it with eAcceleration, the best virus/spyware catcher I know, and nothing comes up!

Someone please assist! It's bugging the hell out of me that there's a folder I have no power over! :(

Firstly we will try to tackle the folder where this file is..
When the error report appears take down the offending files name, once you have done this Go to Start and then search enter the file in and if it shows up delete it, hopefully after this you will be able to get back into your folder...

If this works, we can then tackle your Limewire...;)

Thats the problem

That's the problem though!

I've tried searching it! But when ever I try to access the folder and the files inside in any way, the same error message pops up! Like search, I used the search option, typed in a word in a file in the folder, and the error message popped up, closing the search down! :(

"sigh" I'm tired right now. I'll get back to you in the morning.

But yeah, if you could help in any way, any way at all to get that s.o.b. folder out of my computer, I would be so grateful. :)

Yes at the moment it can be quite normal as there are alot of fake files around try downloading from a smaller number of hosts ie 50 or less...;)

coolkyle342, I was also thinking that when I have had this happen to me (about 3 times now) when the error report comes up get the codes of the file, as thats the only way I have been able to get rid of it...
If you can take a screenshot of the report both parts....;)

coolkyle342 June 6th, 2006 08:37 PM

sorry

Sorry I took so long to get on the computer. Anyway, what do you mean "the codes"? Also, I don't have a digital camara, so I can't show screen shots...:(

Theres an option box to veiw the error report (near send error report) can you copy them down and tell me what they are...
