Windows Media Player Problems After I begin to download a video I usually preview it to make sure it is what I was looking for. And I have been using limewire for a long time now and I've been having this problem for about a month or so now. When the download is finished I launch it and it is supposed to be about 20-30 mintues long, but it comes up as like 48 seconds on the media player. It will play the video for 48 seconds then the video will stop, but the audio keeps playing. And if I click the bar to fast forward it, it will go up about 20 minutes and play for about 10 seconds then the video will stop. All the video is there, but the media player wont play it all. Whats wrong? What can I do to fix it? Any help will be appreciated. |
It's probably a codec problem. Try playing it in a different media player. VLC media player comes highly reccommended and has codecs built in and is able to play most files. This thread has a lot of good info in it:Video playback problems? See CODECs list & alternate players for Videos XP Codec Pack 1.3.0 is a good codec pack for windows media player. |
