Error box

I have been having problems for a while now with error boxes popping up whenever limewire is running. The box states, "Limewire was unable to write a necessary file because you do not have the necessary permission. Your preferences may not be maintained the next time you start LimeWire, or LimeWire may behave in unexpected ways." What do I do to get rid of this. Also, no matter what version I download the screen at startup says version 4.9.
