Shutting Down Limewire, window freezes

Hi!

After I reinstalled everything on my computer I got some strange problems with LimeWire PRO 4.10.

When I am going to shut down LimeWire, the little window stops, the green bar "hangs" and Windows XP is totally frozen in a while before everything is back to normal. This "hang" does not affect the problem, but it is annoying to get this stop everytime I'll shut down LimeWire.

I have reinstalled the program several times, deleted the Prefetch folder, installed the latest Java, and unblocked the program in the Windows Firewall.

I have also tried Frostwire and this works fine, but is there a opportunity to use my LimeWire PRO?

Thanks!

My first guess would be that it is connected to your graphic card, since you've ruled out the Java issue (installed the JRE version using the offline installer??) as well as the preference folder ( .limewire ).
Though that wouldn't explain why FW works fine i this regard, as they are pretty much the same from their structure....

So, what graphic card do you use??

I have a Gainward GeForce 7900GT-card, but this information is not interesting anymore.

I solved the problem simply by have the tray icon visible. When I hide this icon and quit LimeWire the window freezes. When this tray icon is visible and I quit the program, it quits normally.

Strange? Yeah! But it solved the problem.;)

Good to hear, and thanks for reporting back. Others might be able to solve similar problems with this hint.
Still, it is strange and should usually not happen......but there have been some issues in the past regarding Gforce graphic cards
