It wont let me share my files?
 

I got on and all my songs are in red font and i check the saved files and audio folders and all my songs were there and i can play them, but when its loadin my share count is zero and my shared folder is empty? Ive tried putin the file i had songs on and put that folder on the list and now that folder is on the list it is still sayin im not sharin anyfiles?

can anybody help?

When you 1st open LW it's normal for LW to add the shared files one by one. And whilst the files all start off in red, they one by one turn black. You can use the Refresh button in the LW Library to get a fresh count of shared files if you've added or removed any files. If you're sharing lots of files or very large files, then it can take LW a reasonable time to account for all the shared files.

i know its done that everytime except today. that box wont turn green until all of the files have been loaded. Well my goes straight to zero and i only got 241 songs an nothin else. and before when you the explore button it would show all the files now when you hit it nothin comes up cause it is a shared folder. Is there anything else i can do?

Yeah, there is.......delete the Limewire preference folder when LW is completely closed (i.e. also in the system tray) as explained here:

Its not workin deleting that folder is just like restoring your default and having to put everything back in and everything is just the same.
Am i gonna have to download all my songs all over again?

The deletion of the preference folder is meant to exclude its possible corruption as one of the causes.
However, when reading your first post and what you've written now, I understand your problem slightly different.
What you're sayin' is that the song you've previously downloaded show up as "red" files when you look at them via LW>Library>Shared (or where ever you put the downloaded files?!!
Did you go to this folder and open those files directly from that folder (rather than using the LW player)??
If so and they are still there in full size, then move them all to a different folder and add this folder via LW to the shared folders.

this is all confusing. I have just been redownloading every single one of my songs but my prob was that every single one of my songs were showin in the saved file and audio file and i could play them but in the shared file there was nothin i tried goin back and retypin in the shared file i wanted did not work i deleted my preferances that didnt work oh yeah and in that little box at the bottom it showed zero

Unless you're sharing your downloads immediately, it's normal for the Saved File folder files to be red. Also, if you change the name of any file, it will cause it go turn red as it won't agree with LW's account of it. So refreshing the library usually solves that. On windows, the downloads don't necessarily immediately go to the Shared folder. Different to mac for some reason. But after the next time you open LW or sometime after that they will be in there. Go to your LW Library window, select Saved Files folder & press the Explore button. Sample image here: Using Library Explore button to access downld folder (click on link) & the folder will open up for you. You can also do the same with the Shared folder. Are you sure you have the correct Shared folder? Search your computer using your computer search & see if there's more than one folder called Shared.
