How to get ringtones to cell phone

Hello...I wasnt sure after downloading ringtones how to get them to my cell phone..I noticed a few others had the same question..I figured out one way that works for me..after song is downloaded I drag it to my music folder than I copy and paste it into an email going to my cell phone number..save it as a ringtone..hope this helps..paisley619
