Lord of the Rings has a distinguished reputation

If it happens with your own captures then it's prolly as a result of slow ram, processor speed, slow HDD, slow bus speed!

We normally recommend getting VLC player as it has in-built codecs & is generally very reliable: VLC - (click on link) _ (choose nearest mirror site)

BTW during playback of video, it's best not to have other programs running for best performance!
