LimeWire Dangerous?

I had friends tell me LimeWire will eventually destroy my computer, I recently got cable internet, reinstalled LW yesterday, and I have 229 files at this point,

so I have two questions.

When will the 'legal eagles' come for me?

Will LW destroy my CPU?

I can't see how. Back in the days when these P2P programs came with ad/spy ware I could see a concern. But LW looks clean. In terms of CPU usage I'm getting about 2% when downloading.

What I'm most concerned about are viruses in files... but a good AV should take care of that.

I'm REALLY concerned about losing track of which files I make public. I've found personal files out there and obviously those people are not aware they left a backdoor open into their PC.

Last I'm concerned about RIAA nazis who spy on P2P users. So I'm cautious about what files I share. At this point it most images and some non-copyright sound files.
