Default Limewire Keeps Freezing At Startup

i have completed the installation of limewire 4.12.4, and i have the latest Java, but when i try to run the software, i get stuck on the first Limewire logo, and i have to alt+ctrl+del out of it, i hope someone knows wat i am talkin about and is able to help me stop it from freezing, thanks

Remove your version of Java & reinstall JRE using the offline installer. See point 1 below
Fixes for LimeWire

Delete the LW preferences folder, points 2 & 3 in the thread above.

If that doesn't work, reinstall LW using the offline installer (it will automatically uninstall the older version)

I believe this is caused by a lack of memory on the system.
Click on "Start"
Click on "Run"
type in "winmsd"
it should tell you total and available physical RAM. the first should be roughly 256MB if you are running XP SP2. Available, I normally say should always be higher than 128MB, if it is below then I would recommend upgrading the Total Physical RAM to 512MB or Higher. For this I recommend speaking to trustworthy computer technician.

please note: if you are running Windows 98.
Click on "Start"
Click on "Programs"
Click on "Accessories"
Click on "System Tools"
Click on the icon "System Info"
