Download Codec Help?

I just got LimeWire on my new laptop, and I have downloaded a few things from it already. I tried to use them on my Windows Movie Maker, but it said the Download codecs automatically check box was not selected when I downloaded. I looked in the options on LimeWire, but couldn't find anything about codecs. This didn't happen on my other computer when I got LimeWire and did the same thing.

I know there is probably something obvious I should be doing, but I don't know what to do. I've tried to look for help, bu found non. Can someone help with this?
