my genre, album, artist, title tabs are gone
 

In my audio search window, all there is now is "filename". When i used to do audio searches, which was only like 2 weeks ago, there were lots of options like "genre, album, artist, and title." Whats the deal? how can i get my options back?

You only get those options if you do an audio search, not any of the other search types.

If you did do an audio search & no options then try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Point #2 & 3 in Fixes for Limewire (sample image included at bottom of page.)

I have the same problem, and its REALLY irritating. Have you seen any other threads that discuss this?:(

Try updating your Java. ie: remove all other versions of Java. Then download the "Offline" java installer which is a 15.6 MB download & install it after downloading. Java 1.5 (take the JRE)

Also delete your LW prefs as suggested earlier.

I have tried re-downloading both programs 3 times already, with deleating them before I download them again. I am also unable to find the prefs that are suggested. I have tried many times now. Are there any other suggestions out there?

yeah, i got it to work haha!! i had to uninstall and reinstall windows on here cuz of an ad virus or whatever, and when i reloaded limewire it worked again!!
so its all good, thanks for your help though
