Can we Rip To Lime Wire (1) If I buy Pro will I be able to rip music from CD's at least? I would like to start with some kind of a library. (2) Is there any way to import from another library / like Windows? Thanks |

If you are referring to store bought CD's, I believe no you cannot rip CD's using Limewire. There are, however, many apps available to do that. They will allow you to turn CD's audio into mp3, wavs, aiff or whatever format you choose. And they are not at all expensive. But, since you are using Limewire, why not be a sport and spend the $18- to buy the Pro version. It took the creators time to invent it so throw them a bone. As far as your second question, that would best be answered by someone more in the know with Windows than I. As far as Limewire, one must remember that these files are strictly meant to be used on a trial basis to decide if one wants to buy the CD. I hope I helped. |
Thanks for the quick reply. I intend to buy but want to rip and burn! Thanks again jk jazz |
Many people like Nero (not the Roman Emperor). I have Sonic Record Now (it came with the computer). I am used to the Mac. I am lost with Windows. I am sure you can go into any computer store and ask someone and they will give you their opinion of which is best or I am sure there are forums somewhere. Check Yahoo groups or AOL groups. |
yeah you can rip...ok well you rip it with windows media player...the artist and all the stuff is usualy saved in your musci folders under rips as either unkown artist (date of rip) or unkown album (date of rip) you can rename the files to their original name and them transfer them to your shared folder or whatever you have assign limewire to save music files...it should auto add to the library if you put it in the right folder....if you just got limwire and havent changed any settings then the folder is shared.... |
Thanks for the reply Linus Van Pelt I also have Sonic Record Now w/my Sony Reader Writer. Thanks again |
