Default My First Post (Problems) burning ?

Hi all been using limewire for a couple of weeks without a hitch,I got some movies i didnt have codecs for so downloaded real player big mistake ! i think it has done something to my system .As i can no longer use my dvd burner which is an LG GSA-H1OA .It recognises it as a cd burner and intimitantly as a dvd ram drive have tried using Phillips dvd+r 4.7 gb 120min 1-8 x but no joy i can open it up with cd in drive but when i drag and drop i get a windows message saying error have also tried to upgrade the firmware but no joy there either i think i got most of the hidden bits of real player out but could there be something hiding somewhere ?
have since downloaded xp codec pack so i can play all formats now but can`t burn anything have even removed the drive and re installed it but still no joy

Help

Try to remove the remaining parts of RP with CCleaner:

What burning program do you intend to use for burning the DVD's??
I personally use Nero and others here DVD Santa. Both seem to be quite good.
If you don't want to spend money on a burning program, you could take a look at nonags.com to get some free ware:

Yes, pics are no problem,....but when you try to burn DVD's with it you might need extra codecs from RP which they charge you for (I believe).
