 I have 51 files (mp3 files) in the LimeWire Shared folder on my boot drive. There are close to 10000 files (mp3, mpg, avi divX, wmv) on the external drive that I am trying to share. This morning I looked for a LimeWire INI file that I could edit with NotePad so I could add the external drive shared folder there but couldn't fine one. I have tried both techniques to add a shared folder as you suggested with identical lock ups on both attempts. I feel badly about scraping LimeWire as I already paid for the PRO version.
