OK This may just drive me INSANE. Time for a dumb question now people... Hey I really need help since I've been attempting to do this for the past 4 days without any results... Basically when I download most things on LW its fine (I can watch porn with no problems... hahah) but when I try to get actual movies it messes up. For example I spent like a day getting the movie "*******" but when I tried to play it on Windows Media, ONLY the sound came and no pictures... its either that or "Windows media doesnt recognise this file" or blah blah blah... Is it just my bad luck of downloading movies that are bollocks or am I doing something wrong? (Is there any adjustments need to be made or something). Edited to comply with the House Rules. I could be wrong, but it sounds like you downloaded it as an audio file ... aside from the point, if your looking to download movies and such I personaly suggest "Bitcomet" . Doesn't really fix your problem, but if nobody has any ideas, just redownload it using Bitcomet. |

Your problem is most likely CODECs so what we normally recommend is a reliable player with in-built codecs called VLC - (click on link) _ (choose nearest mirror site) Otherwise see CODECs list and alternate players for Movies It's one of the Stickies at the top of the sections of the forums. |
Haha, yup I'm with you, I use free stuff only, I'm cheap. Yes, Bitcomet is free. You can pay for it if you want I soupose ... It's like limewire ... Theres Limewire Free... And theres Limewire Pro <-- not free. same idea for bitcomet I'm sure. Let me see if I can find u a place to download it. |

Another case of "ashtree in my car is full,......gotta buy a new car"....:notsure: :shoot: :Smilywais: |
WTF has bitcomet got to do with lack of codec's for her player to be able to play the video file properly. This is the Gnutella forums not the bitcomet forums. If you don't like LW then fine, stick with BT but stay off our turf if you came here to promote a non-gnutella client. |

You'll have exactly the same problem with BT because your player, WMP doesn't come with much in the way of codecs. You have to download them & install them for your player to be able to play certain video formats. If I'm speaking into thin air then perhaps I'm in the wrong thread. Oh my typing must be slow. lol :D |

Alright thank you :) I think if I try any I'll probably go for the uTorrent? Since I'm not really advanced at all this computer malarkey and just need the simplest thing that will let me play a movie or two. Oh and I'll also have a read on the explanations. :D |
