Frustrating and WEIRD issue. Limewire causes PC to reboot.

I have no earthly idea what could be happening here. I just bought my first legit copy of Windows (XP Pro). I formatted my HDDs and installed on the smaller one (120 gigs). First, I did all my Windows updates, etc., and everything works beautifully.

I installed limewire. Bam.. halfway through the configuration (after the installation), the monitor kicks out and flashes a few times, then the PC reboots.

I uninstalled limewire, made sure I had the latest version of Java, then rebooted. I reinstalled limewire, then rebooted. Opened it up.. waited about 1 minute, then tried a test search, and about 3 seconds after I hit the "search" button, it does the same thing. I have a firewall, but it's set to allow anything limewire related - plus a firewall shouldn't cause a reboot anyways.

I have antivirus (AVG) but the resident shield is not installed, so it shouldn't actively scan or interfere with anything at all. I believe the only Windows service I disabled was the Wireless Zero configuration - I don't need that.

So.... any ideas whatsoever? I had the same problem on my previous install of Windows but gave up.. now I'm just determined to get this weirdness fixed.

It seems that there is an incompatibility between LW and your video driver, about a year ago I had this same problem and was advised to update my video driver.

That cured the problem.
