how to temporarily turn off limewire

when i try to install software, the message always says to disable any running software while installing. When i try to exit limewire it automatically reopens. Please Help!

1st try these: 1. Go to Tools>Options>Advanced>System Startup & untick option & press apply.
2. Go to Tools>Options>System Tray make sure Shutdown immediately is checked.

See LimeWire continually Popping up every few seconds & also Opening at System Startup
