does ny1 no how 2 change the default video player cos so much vids dont work wit windows media player

We normally recommend this player: VLC - (click on link) _ (choose nearest mirror site) because it has in-built codecs & is generally very reliable.

Didn't my link work? Go to WMP's menu bar, Options & file options & uncheck options for video types. Then find samples of each video type & right click & choose open with & check option for alwyas open with.

Sometimes when someone posts a blue underlined word, it's a link to another web page. You simply click onto it.

i did all that and now in my lime wire library instead of the traffic cone icon that should be there there is like a page with a video camera infront of it and the videos wont play ???????

Limewire for some strange reason won't use VLC as default program on Windows systems. You will have to open the incomplete file from the folder instead. Some use WinAmp as the default player btw. It's not as good as VLC, but still it's far better than WMP

Did you disable WMP's file default opening options? Some hints from here How to make Media Player Classic my default player to disable such.
