I rad FAQ and ran Ad-Ware like it said to if limewire loads then shutsdown without an error or anything, removed all the spyware it said I have on my machine and re-launched limewire and it still shuts down right after loading.

I got the latest version of limewire and am running it under Windows 2000, any help would realy be apreaciated

If you are using ADAWARE by Lavasoft it will corrupt Limewire. You must be sure that "Remove spyware automatically" is not checked or that you put all 7 references on the "ignore path". If you delete the registry entries and the cd_clint.dll the application will not load. It would make sense that the application is designed to fail if you disable it's ability to load the banner ads which generate revenue for limewire.com. What Limewire.com and ADAWARE define as "Spyware" are different.

Default Ad-aware

As stated, Ad-aware removed cydoor's files, causing limewire to die when they are not found. If you want limewire to run again, you can either reinstall it and all will be well. Or, if you define spyware as I do (and ad-aware does) and still want to run Limewire, I'd suggest you see this site. I like the "neuter" method.

Default Non-ad compiled 1.8c

Download this for a compiled non-ad version.

You may need to go here first and click on files if that link stalls.
