some reason 1000+ songs got deleted
 

i just got a new drive and installed some burner software it came with.after i installed the software,everything in limewire had a different logo than the normal wmp logo so i was trying to change it cause they wouldn't play.now the problem is when i clicked on restore defaults i wasn't expecting everything to be deleted but it was or at least seems like it.some songs are listed in my wmp and they still play so i have a feeling that there on the system somewere i just wanna know how to retrieve them.any help would be greatly appreciated

Had you changed the location of your saved folder? If so, restoring defaults probably changed the location of your saved folder back to C:\Documents and Settings\your username\Shared.

Use your computer's search to look for some of the missing file names. Unless you've deleted them from LW's library without saving them somewhere else first, they should be around somewhere.

To change your default player, open your saved folder outside of LW. Right click on a file > open with > choose program. Select your player from the list & tick the box to 'always use the selected program to open files of this type' > ok.

wow dude i love you so much haha.i did a search for a skate vid i downloaded and found the folder that everything is stored in man your a freaking lifesaver thank you so much I was gonna ask how i can get them listed in limewire again but some of my handywork got them back there but thanks again man
