My Mouse Doesn't Work on Limewire

okay.....I haven't the foggest idea what the problem is. I click on the icon to load Limewire and everything comes up fine. Even when I put the arrow over the buttons, they change color like i can use them. But when I try to click ANYTHING on the screen, there is no response. I hit ALT and move around on the top of the window or TAB over a little bit. I can type in the one box that is available to be....ALL TYPES FILE SEARCH. But I can't click on anything using the mouse like I normally would. Could someone out there please help me out.

See if it helps to update your Java. Download the latest JRE & make sure to use the offline installer. See point 1 below
Info about fake files
Remove your old version of Java before installing the new one.

Otherwise, you could try deleting LW's preferences folder when LW's closed. That's points 2 & 3 in the fixes thread.

:)

I tried upgrading the JRE, I tried deleting the LimeWire preference folders, I even tried uninstalling LimeWire and none of this works. It still doesn't allow me to use the mouse to navigate my way through the program. What's next?

Oops...really sorry about the crap link before:o I guess I gave someone else with a fake file problem instructions for Java:eek:

When you reinstalled LW, did you use the offline insatller (not the recommended one)? The offline installer's the best one to use.
Has LW worked without a problem before? Do any other programs give you the same trouble?
I really don't know, updating Java has fixed this problem for other people. Maybe someone else here has more ideas??

Yeah.....I used the the offline installer. It has worked perfectly without a problem up until this point....about a week ago. It doesnt do this with any other programs that I have. I dont think I have any other programs that use Java. I'll try uninstalling everything at installing it all over again using the offline installer, but I am outta ideas.
