Download the latest Java JRE using it's offline installer, see point 1 below
Fixes for LimeWire
Remove your current version of Java before you install the new one.

Then delete LW's preferences folder, steps 2 & 3 above will explain how.

Last of all, reinstall LW using it's offline installer (not the recommended one)
