Limewire won't search?
 
Hello I'm new here and to limewire,I'm thinking of upgrading to pro but at present I can't seem to search,I have configured my norton to receive from limewire but when searching the blue progress bar moves along but no search results appear.
Could one of you good people help me please?

There is a brick wall in front of the globe is this the reason and if so how can i get rid of it?

1. OS version? (eg: Windows 98) Windows XP
2. What firewalls you have? Norton
3. How much ram? Sorry no idea
4. Hard Disk space available? Again not sure sorry
5. Connection type? (eg: dialup, broadband, cable, etc.) Broadband
6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers? Webstar
7. Where are you trying to connect from (house, appartment complex, school, student accomodation, work, etc.)? House
8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? (Go to LW's menu Help>About LW...) Will show both LW & Java version.LW 4 12 61.5.0_6
9. Who is your ISP provider (Internet Service Provider)?Blueyonder
10. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there? Your test worked
11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? If yes, please give details of set up. Not that I'm aware of
12. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user. I downloaded a film and all was well then nothing on search.
13. Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface? Yes

Do you still see a brick wall? If Windows firewall is on, disable it. XP & Norton's firewalls tend to clash & cause problems. Running both will give you less security, not more.

If still firewall issue, then it may well be your webstar.

5. Connection type? (eg: dialup, broadband, cable, etc.) DSL
6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers? Embarq DSL modem, with Linksys WirelessRouter
7. Where are you trying to connect from (house, appartment complex, school, student accomodation, work, etc.)? House
8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? (Go to LW's menu Help>About LW...) Will show both LW & Java version.I dont know
