I have the same problem with my limewire.

I am having the same problems with my limewire. When I downloaded the songs and try to play them nothing happens and when I uninstalled it and tried it from scratch all over again it just has the same songs I downloaded before! Not only on limewire but when I went to try lemonwire or limewireMp3 programs it did the same thing!!!
:bangh:

You need a third party player as the LW player is not always reliable...
Try itunes, it's free and very user friendly...

To make itunes your default player
Right click on one of your MP3 files
Select open with
Select choose program
select itunes
and tick the box that says always use this program to open this file type
Select OK

This time it was different

I just completed a mp3 download that won't play with roxio (my default for years), real player or WMP. But it plays with the limewire player. I even used roxio to convert this mp3 to a mp3 (incase the extension was wrong ????) and that did not help. About that time another download completed and I tried to play it with roxio and it played fine. Any ideas?

It sounds like a codec issue...Sometimes it's hard to work out why some files play fine and other's don't....

Here's a thread with all sort's of codec's....
CODECs list
