![]() While i'm no programmer , and I won't say Limewire is perfect . Mcafee reinstalls are notoriously a pain in the A** .Support is now a farce what with their "subscription" services taking center stage. It is imperative that you dump your temp dir. as the instalshield will keep calling up the same old files from temp, if you root around temp you'll notice that you could do a reinstall from there without the need for the CD.Clean the registry, then clean it again. The later versions of Mcafee which now use Windows Installer seem to work somewhat better , but still no paradise, it's a tough call , mcafee with the myriad pains or Norton with their notorious ability for resource suction on 9x platforms. yours truly DD |
